Speaking of the “many things” he learned during the process, Ronaldo said: “it takes over 20 different materials to make each pair of shoes – the process is far more detailed that I imagined.”
When asked of his favourite style, the footballer found it hard to choose. “Of course I really like all of the collection, so it’s difficult to pick a favourite!”
“I think there’s a shoe in the range for every formal occasion to compliment every man. I’d say my favourite if I have to choose is the jazz dressy Oxford brogue as it’s very easy to wear. But then I love them all, they all have pride of place in my wardrobe.”
Speaking about motivation, Cristiano went on to say “I wanted to make sure every shoe was something that I loved and would be proud to wear. I worked really hard on this collection to make sure that the range is both stylish and versatile.”
“We’ve used some of my favourite colours and have paid a lot of attention to small detail in the shoes. I really like the process and it’s been great working together with the team.”
There are rumours in the Spanish trade press that sporting giant Nike are not happy with Cristiano Ronaldo launching his own footwear range. Despite having a contact worth about £7million a year with Nike, the FIFA Ballon d’Or holder is proud of his range and so he should.
