With the Silverstone Grand Prix taking place this weekend, motorsport fans will be feeling the urge to get behind the wheel and feel the thrill of the race.  The best place to start is karting and there’s nowhere better than Formula Fast Karting.

The indoor track in Bletchley boasts a 500 metre track with 12 technical corners designed with the help of Formula One professionals.  It’s widely known that Lewis Hamilton is just one of the professional drivers that started his career on the karting track; it’s the ideal introduction to the world of motorsport.  Formula Fast has a fleet of Sodi GT-5s with Honda GX200 engines which have a top speed of 50mph.  The fastest lap ever recorded is 32.371.

There are various open events taking place for juniors this summer.  The Junior Academy delivers plenty of mileage and speed related fun for all standards.  It’s a great way to keep the kids entertained during the holidays; this event takes place on Friday 24 July and includes plenty of karting, driver feedback, on and off track entertainment, and lunch at the end.  Towards the end of the holidays on Wednesday 26 – Friday 28 August, the Junior Race School takes place, which is ideal for those keen to improve technique, reduce lap times and generally progress their racing; the tuition-focused format works on all aspects of driving performance.

There are also open events for adults including monthly championships, Fast Fridays and Super Sundays. To find out more about Formula Fast, visit the website at: www.formulafast.co.uk or call the team on: 01908 904111.  Keep up with the latest news and join the chat at www.facebook.com/formulafastkarting.
