He has been off the television for a minute but Jeremy Clarkson, the former Top Gear presenter, is back starring in a new advertisement for Amazon’s media streaming device, the Fire TV Stick.

The ad, which will appear on ITV on Saturday 31 October during the Rugby World Cup Final, shows the TV host on a Segway moving around what looks to be one of his country homes, using the device which is similar to Google’s Chromecast. Watch out for the tongue-in-cheek poke at his former employer.

In a great summary “Back in the Spring, as you probably remember, I suddenly became unbusy,” Clarkson drops a hint at his sacking from Top Gear after punching one of the BBC show’s producers.

Not afraid of the spotlight, Clarkson has probably been advised that the numberplate fiasco is still not over as a judge in Argentina has been told to reopen a criminal investigation into former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson’s infamous drive through the country.
