How long have you been a makeup artist and how did you get your start in the industry?
I’ve been in industry for around 8 years. My first big job was at the Luton Library Theatre. A good friend of mine was directing a play there called ‘ Ballroom California’ it was based on a real night club/music venue in the sixties and seventies in Dunstable.
It hosted some big names like Diana Ross and Bob Marley. I was the lead hair and make up artist. That was the start of my career.
How would you describe your signature look and what is it about your style that sets you apart from other makeup artists?
My signature look would be all about skin. A fresh base with a dewy glow and brushed up brows. Enhancing beauty that’s already there. Helping women to feel the best version of themselves. I’m trying to convert my kit to ego friendly, vegan products from ethical companies.
I’m reducing my plastic waste by recycling disposable mascara wands and using washable pads. Clean beauty is important.
What I love about makeup
It gives you the freedom to be creative without rules. It’s allows you to express yourself. It can help men and women feel better about themselves, helping with confidence and self esteem.
