How did you get started being a Hair Stylist?
Growing up my Mum would always take me to the salon and I loved the hustle and bustle of the salon. The clients and the stylists always looked so glamorous with their hair done and flawless makeup. I knew from the age of six this was the career for me.
What is your number one hair care tip?
I would say don’t wrap your hair in a towel! Your hair is so fragile when wet and the weight of the towel will pull causing breakage to your hair.
What are the trendiest styles/colours at the moment?
Anyone who knows me knows my absolute favourite haircut is the one length bob/lob. With the right precision cutting, it looks perfect.
Balayage is the hair dye trend that changed everything. More a technique than an actual trend, It allows for a sun-kissed natural-looking hair colour.
Last would be a full head blonde with silver/grey toner.
It has to be a big bouncy blow-dry, it is the perfect glamorous style for day or night.
Which hair/beauty products and tools are always in your kit?
I will never leave the house without my GHD Classic Styler, straight, curly or waves. It is the one tool that does everything.
The clients. It might sound cliché but there is nothing better than having a client come in feeling mediocre and then completely changing their mood by giving them all your time and attention.
What’s been the most memorable moment of your career to date?
Working at London Fashion Week, being able to work alongside the best hairdressers, makeup artists and fashion stylists was the most exciting time in my career so far. It is such a great experience.
If you could style anyone, famous or not, who would it be?
Cara Delevigne. I love the fact that she’s not afraid to try different looks so I could be as creative as I wanted to.
What is the go-to makeup range you recommend to your clients and why?
Charlotte Tilbury. Her range has the must-have luxe makeup and beauty products.
