Celebrities are constantly jetting off on exotic holidays, you only have to log onto their Twitter page, or onto the Daily Mail to see them on a beach or shopping in their bikinis. Whilst celebrities might be able to head off on a VIP holiday all year round, our holiday season is fast approaching and so I thought I’d round up four VIP popular destinations that would make even the Kardashian’s turn green.
Speaking of the Kardashians, the famous clan recently headed off on their annual family ‘va-cay’ to Santorini, staying in a luxurious Greek villa. Located 200km from Greece’s mainland, the island town of Santorini clings to the cliffs – overlooking the gorgeous crystal clear ocean below. At night, the view from the beach is absolutely breathtaking – and the (nearly) all year round basking hot temperatures mean that a golden bronzed tan is guaranteed.
Details: for a Kardashian style holiday (without the Kardashian price tag), Thomas Cook offer several fantastic deals (self-catering and catered) for 7 days, for under £600pp. See here for further details.
La Manga, Spain
Located in Southern Spain, the private and luxurious resort of La Manga Club is a regular VIP hotspot, regularly welcoming football players, singers (David and Victoria Beckham have stayed here several times) and UK/US famous faces alike. Whether it’s shopping, spa treatments, sports or the sun that you want out of your break, La Manga offers it’s guests the opportunities to do all four, with an on-site spa, tennis centre, golf course (and located high on the mountains), perfect tanning conditions. With 37 little clustered communities within the resort, there is no shortage of accommodation to choose from – and you can be guaranteed a VIP stay.
Details: The 5* Hotel Principe Felipe offers golfing packages and rooms from £130 a night, or you can opt to hire a villa for 2-4 people from £500 for 7 days. Visit the La Manga Club website here for further details.
St Tropez, France
St Tropez is a well known French destination, popular for it’s VIP guests – however, most recently it has welcomed the likes of Jude Law, Simon Cowell, Rihanna and the cast of Made In Chelsea. Located on the French Rivera, it has been dubbed the ‘playground of jetsetters, millionaires and supermodels’, so if celeb spotting is on your agenda, this is definitely your go-to destination. With a picturesque harbour, offering a variety of chic cafes, bars and restaurants – or a number of roasting hot, sandy beaches on offer – you are never short of something glamorous to do.
Details: If you really want the VIP experience, the ‘party pad’ Kube Hotel is the place to be, with gorgeous white open plan rooms, sprawling gardens and a huge ‘wow’ factor pool and bar. Rooms start from £188 per night, see here for further details.
Bora Bora, Pacific Ocean
Bora Bora is a favourite celebrity destination, famed for its luxury aqua-centric resorts. Although it might not exactly fit a non-VIP price tag, it’s a fantastic once-in-a-lifetime destination perfect for honeymoons, family holidays or the ultimate romantic break. Most recently, Bora Bora has welcomed the Kardashians, Nicole Kidman, Kristen Bell and Kristen Davis (filming ‘Couples Retreat).
Details: The Four Seasons hotel (pictured) in Bora Bora is probably the most well-known accommodation on the island, with it’s open plan glass ‘villas’. Their bungalow villas (with a private staircase into the clear blue ocean) for two people cost £641 per night, whilst you can expect to pay upto £3,000 per night for a two-bed beach front villa with a private pool.
