Wyboston Lakes Resort launches Sandpiper Bay, a new lakeside outdoor meetings and events space

Wyboston Lakes Resort has created an exciting and very different new meeting and events space; outdoors beside a lake.

Sandpiper Bay, which has seating for up to 200 people, is ideal for meetings, team building events or simply socialising with colleagues in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere.

Situated just outside the Lakeview Suite of the resort’s Waterfront Hotel, it features covered outdoor seating and five beach huts for meetings.

For those who enjoy team collaboration and competition, there are plenty of fun games for a mini-Olympics including Darts, Cornhole, Beer Pong, Connect Four and Giant Jenga. For those wanting to sit and relax, there is a selection of board games as well as a small library.

An extension selection of outside catering options is available and there are also an ice cream cart and a Volkswagen Camper serving station to add to the summer festival style.

Steve Jones, Managing Director of Wyboston Lakes Resort said; “We wanted to create something different, something memorable and fun, something good for mental health that would suit the tastes and needs of the newer generations of delegates. So, we’ve made the most of our unusual landscape and spacious environment in developing this.

“With this fine summer weather, it’s already proving to be a great success, generating superb feedback and tremendous demand.”

Y Spa at Wyboston Lakes Resort has been voted Best Day Spa in Herts & Beds in the coveted Muddy Stilettos Awards 2023.

Carlo Scotto’s Next Chapter

Following the success of Amethyst in London, Scotto’s newest venture draws on his global experience in the kitchens of Gordon Ramsay, Angela Hartnett, and the Galvin Brothers. At BEAR, his signature style evolves into something even more daring and personal — a stripped-back, ingredient-led experience that feels more like a private dinner party than a restaurant.

  • Hand-laminated brioche with Carlo’s unique three-layered butter

  • Moroccan-spiced duck with morels poached in aged pickled rum

  • British asparagus fermented in tempeh and wild garlic jus

Step into a Haunted World of Light, Shadow and Story

Forget traditional trick-or-treating—Blenheim Palace’s Halloween Trail invites guests to journey through haunted dungeons, twisted tombs, and mysterious mausoleums. Visitors will encounter spectral lights dancing across ancient walls, strange characters emerging from the mist, and whispered secrets hidden in every corner.
