Create the Boho Chic look

Published

on

A trend that seems to come and go each year and one of my true favourites is boho chic. As festival season is upon us, it is inevitable that the rock chick vibe, and the bohemian babe will be making a welcome appearance.

I love the array of fringing and flower power that takes over during the summer months. Baring this in mind and applying all aspects of the latest seasons must-haves on the high street; I have put together a bohemian look perfect for this season!

Zara Extra Wide Palazzo Pants // £39.99  –  Boohoo Tassel Cami Top // £18

ASOS Silver IPhone Case & Purse // £15  –  ASOS Grey Shine Knot Turban Headband // £6

Topshop Rodeo Double Strap Sandals // £55

I can’t get enough of palazzo pants! They are super glam and a great twist on the standard flared trousers. Worn high-waisted with a crop top this outfit is perfect for both day and night! Giving the illusion of supermodel proportions, legs to envy! Hot off the press celebrities such as Vanessa Hudgens are leading the way to a land of all things bohemian; recently snapped at Young Hollywood Awards in Los Angeles wearing a gorgeous white pair or palazzo pants styled with a grey crop top and a fringed clutch, finished off with an armful of bangles and statement diamond earrings to add that touch of glamour to the boho look. Named Best Dressed at the award ceremony! She has got the fashionista’s red carpet look down to a tee!

Not only is this look a summer treat there are many ways to define the boho look. It’s not just daisy chains and peace signs. To step up your boho game I would recommend adding a braid in your beach waved hair, a stylish tikka or even a floral crown. Luckily enough to pull off the boho look you don’t have to be too daring.

Stepping out of your comfort zone isn’t vital when sticking to this look, it is easily achievable by light layering, such as a kimono made of lace or has a touch of floral or fringing or both! Lighter neutral tones such as browns, whites and beige make up the more commonly associated bohemian style however fashion has come a long way since the day you can put a trend in a box and only use that one reference to create it! Time to add a twist with the bohemian look. Add as much colour as you can. I think it looks fabulous!

I hope you like this look as much as I do, I would love to read your comments!

Have a great week lovelies.

Much Love
