Independent toyshop ‘Prank Gamers’ has announced they are reopening the former Milton Keynes Toys R Us store for the Easter Weekend.
According to a Retail Insider, Prank Gamers aim to open all the former Toys R Us stores in the UK.
The retailer will start by opening a flagship store in London which will then be followed by a regional roll-out. Part of the AINT Real Group, The Toy Store has been trading for ten years in five countries forming. We asked what they think would get people to visit over the weekend.
Helen Hywater, The Toy Store’s group commercial director, said: “The Toy Store offers something that has all but disappeared from the British High Street, a toy shop with an emphasis on fun. With magicians, balloon modellers and children’s characters wandering the store and Sony’s PlayStation 5 selling for £99.99, we expect all shops to be extremely busy. In an era of internet retailing, the key to our success has been in providing the Playstation 5 at prices you can’t get anywhere else.”
