Hertfordshire already has its first big date for summer 2027. Pop favourite Olly Murs will headline an open-air concert in the grounds of Hitchin Priory on Friday 30th July 2027, as part of The Park Series, which brings major artists to outdoor venues across the UK.
It’s a coup for the town. One of the country’s best-loved live performers is coming to one of the county’s most historic settings, and thousands of fans are expected for an evening of feel-good pop on a summer night.
Fifteen Years of Hits
Since bursting onto our screens on The X Factor in 2009, the Essex-born singer has built a career spanning more than 15 years, with millions of records sold and multiple Number 1 albums to his name. His mix of pop, soul and easy charm has produced a long run of singalong favourites, including Dance With Me Tonight, Troublemaker, Heart Skips a Beat, Dear Darlin’ and Wrapped Up.
On stage, Murs is known for exactly the kind of show that suits a warm July evening: big choruses, plenty of crowd interaction and an unmistakable sense of fun. Expect a set that appeals as much to long-time fans as to anyone who just knows the words.
A Historic Backdrop for an Open-Air Night
For one night, the picturesque grounds of Hitchin Priory will become an open-air music venue. The Park Series has built its programme around parkland and heritage locations, and the Priory fits that brief well.
